Bio: Hi! My name is Georgia, I graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's in Brain + Behavioral Science and Studio Art + Design. I am currently working on my master's in Applied Behavior Analysis. I began as a lifeguard after nearly a decade of competitive swimming. I moved on to teaching lessons throughout high school and college. I have taught every skill level and age range, and specialize in children with autism. I hope to teach more people to love the water the way I do!

Bio: Hi there! My name is Emma and I am a nursing student at Florida Gulf Coast University. I have been a lifeguard for 3 years and have been teaching swim lessons as a red cross certified Water Safety Instructor going on 2 years now. I have a passion for teaching kiddos how to be safe in and around the water. I have lots of experience babysitting, coaching swim lessons, and working with kiddos with disabilities as well. I cant wait to share my knowledge with my future students and parents!

Bio: Hi everyone! My name is Kenzie and I have been teaching swim lessons for 6 years now for ages 6 months to 12 years old. I have coached swim teams for 4 years and have coached kids 4-18. I swam competitively from the age of 5 until 18, so I know my way around water. I am currently a USA swim coach and coach for the gulf coast swim team. I am currently in college at FGCU studying early childhood education and am very passionate about teaching. Through my education degree I have experience working in preschool.

Bio: Hello!! My name is Hayden Blumhoefer, I have been lifeguarding for 2 years and also teach swim lessons. I have been around all ages from 6 months to 13 years old. I am WSI certified under Red Cross and lifeguard certified under STAR Guard. I love working with kids and have 3 younger siblings myself, ages 6, 9, and 17. I am an freshman at FGCU and am majoring in Biology and plan to attend their PA program here to get my masters after I get my bachelors degree. I played volleyball for 9 years and now just do it for fun at FGCU to focus on my schooling.

Bio: Hi! My name is Mikayla and I have been instructing for over 3 years now for children of all ages. I have also competitively swam for 4 years. I currently am attending school at FSU and pursuing a career in nursing. I have tons of experience with kids through volunteer opportunities at hospitals, churches and schools while also working as a nanny and a tutor. I love watching kids develop their swimming skills while practicing water safety!

Bio: Hi, my name is Mait, and I have experience with lifeguarding/swim instructing children from the ages of 1-12, working on basic skills all the way to stroke technique. I also have years of experience working with children, including children with special needs, through babysitting, and volunteering as a mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. I love teaching swimming as I was a competitive swimmer for 10+ years, and it is such a vital skill for everyone to have, especially in Florida!

Bio: Hi, my name is Wanda and I graduated from Northern State University with a Bachelor in Elementary Education. I swam competitively in high school. I’ve taught swim lessons for 5 years. I have experience with infants to 12 year olds. I’ve also worked with children for 30 years as preschool teacher, preschool director, early head start home visitor, special education preschool and a nanny. I hope I can teach children to love water like I do.

Bio: My passion for swimming began at age 8 when I first joined the swim team. My journey through competitive swimming spanned ten years including open water swimming as an adult. My enthusiasm for swimming is infectious, and I am dedicated to making each lesson an enjoyable and engaging experience. Students of all ages can thrive, build confidence, and develop a genuine love for swimming. My coaching style integrates technique improvement, and, most importantly, having fun in the water. Whether youre a beginner or looking to refine your strokes, I am dedicated to making every swim lesson a memorable and rewarding experience.

Working with children and helping them develop has always been a passion of mine. I have my WSI (water safety instructor) and CDA (child development associate) certifications. Learning to swim is important not only for safety reasons but also because it's something that a person can enjoy throughout life. That's why I love being a swim instructor.
