I was born and raised in Somerset, New Jersey, and recently moved to Florida. At the age of 6, I got my start in competitive swimming when my parents signed me up for our summer league swim team. This led to joining my local Y swim team, then high school and college swimming. I use the problem-posing method of teaching, which incorporates questions, verbal instructions, and demonstrations. Ex: If your hips are sinking, what can you do to make them pop up to the surface? Press head & back.

Hi! Im Carrie I have been teaching swimming lessons, and lifeguarding, since high school. I also teach private fitness, barre, yoga & fusion. I have spent most of my life on stage, which makes teaching your little ones so much fun. I will capture their attention, through songs, rhymes & games - all while they learn to blow bubbles, put their face in the water, learn to float, to go underwater on their own, learn water safety, survival skills, swim strokes, and eventually, diving.
I cant wait to swim with you, soon!
