Hi, my name is Alyssa and I have been teaching swim lessons since 2018. I have worked with infants through adults. I have worked with children for 8 years and beyond being involved with the girl scout organization, summer camp counselor, and volunteering. I earned my Health Science degree with an education minor at Florida Gulf Coast University and am currently earning my master's degree in occupational therapy. I have a passion for the prevention of drowning after being a swimmer myself.

Teaching others to swim is my passion, and I've taught all ages from babies to seniors. I'm a retired grandmotherly type that children quickly relate to. I'm very animated and playful (especially with children) and can even be a bit boisterous, showing great excitement with each small success. I find this helps children stay encouraged and excited about their progress. I enjoy working with students who are afraid of the water, taking them slowly, in small steps at their own pace, until they become comfortable enough to tackle swimming. I would love the opportunity to pass on my passion for the water to you or your child.

I went to Weber State University and earned an associates of science degree.
