Hi, my name is Tobey and I am a student studying Tropical Agriculture at UH Manoa. I absolutely love all things water and I believe the fastest way to learn to swim is by having fun! I am a huge water polo fan and have been coaching splashball for several years! Back home I am a USLA-trained Ocean Lifeguard as well as a Junior guard Instructor for ages 6-16. I have been doing private lifeguarding as well as swim lessons for all ages for several years and counting and I never plan on stopping!

Hello, my name is Harlee and I've been teaching swim lessons for 4 years. I have taught children as young as 4 years old to adults as young as 42 years old. I've also worked with children for 4 years as a babysitter. I am currently in school at Chaffey community college earning my degree in Radiology Technology. I love teaching swimming because I myself was a competitive swimmer for 9 years and I believe everyone should hop in, the water is amazing!

Hi! My name is Amanda Abesamis, Ive been working with kids for over 10 years from being a preschool aide, babysitter, and after school director ranging from new born to 16 year olds. Ive been coaching swim for over 3 years. I studied Kinesiology in Exercise Science at University of Hawaii Manoa. Im excited to meet and coach you because I love seeing everyones smiles and progression throughout their swim journey!

My first priority is safety, but my passion is for everyone of all ages to share the joy that I feel in the water. Whether in pools, ponds, or oceans, I never feel as free as I do when I'm swimming. As a father of four swimmers and a teacher of tens of thousands of professional lessons. there's very little I haven't dealt with many times over. Anxieties, phobias, disabilities, and difficulties can all be overcome. There's a whole other world under the waves. Let's go!

Hello! I'm Cari and I've lifeguarded and taught swim for 19 years for babies to adults. I've babysat for 19 yrs, been a tutor, nanny, special ed & outdoor ed teacher and swim team coach. I began swimming at 5 and swam competitively through high school & college @ CU. I love teaching swim as it's a valuable life skill and is empowering. I have experience teaching students with water fear & special needs. I meet students at their comfort level and help them towards their swimming goals. Mahalo

I love swimming! I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years, and more recently got into Hawaii channel crossings. I love teaching kids how to swim and be comfortable in the water. Ive taught swimmers ages 2-13 with all kinds of swim experience. Whether its a first-time swimmer, or a swimmer ready for competition, Im happy to help kids be calm and confident in the water.

Aloha! My name is Emma and I've been teaching swim lessons for 6 years with ages 4 to adults. I've also worked with kids for 9 years as a tutor, babysitter, and camp counselor. I earned a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Miami and an M.S. in Global Medicine at USC. I am now starting a doctorate program in the Fall. I swam competitively for 3 years and played water polo for 8 years. I enjoy teaching swimming because I love helping students become more comfortable in the water!
